The Heysen is, with Rolf Binder Hanisch, one of the flagship wines of Rolf Binder Wines. The Heysen is an export production wine only. Comprising 98% dry grown Shiraz and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, the Heysen is named after the Heysen trail that runs through the vineyard. The grapes are sourced from the Veritas Estate Vineyard, predominantly the Heysen Vineyard, with a sandy soil profile, also the Stephanie and Western Ridge Vineyard of sandy loam.
